Nelli completed a Master’s degree in applied mathematics at University of Kyiv and a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1999 at the Polytechnic School of University of Montreal. She has a vast experience in mathematical programming and bioinformatics. As part of our group, she worked on the implementation of a bootstrapping method using artificial neural networks and SVM models for genetic association studies and gene-gene interaction modeling.
